The Angus McIntosh Centre itself, through its endowments, provides funding for conferences, colloquia and symposia related to historical phonology, as well as being the main contributor to the McIntosh-Patterson scholarship, a three-year tuition and stipend position to be taken up within the remit of the AMC’s work at Edinburgh University.  Finally, the Centre awards the annual Angus McIntosh Prize to outstanding students in Linguistics and English Language.
