Call for Papers Fourth AMC Symposium

Call for Papers

The Call for Papers is now closed and the accepted posters and papers are listed here.

Our invited speakers have been asked to address the issue of contact and language change according to the brief on the main symposium page. While we particularly encourage abstracts for regular talks and posters that engage with the key symposium questions, we also welcome abstracts on any topic in historical linguistics, including all language specialisms and sub-disciplines.

Paper format

Presentation slots for regular (non-invited) talks will be 30 minutes (20-minute talk + 10-minute discussion).

Posters are also central to the Symposium, with daily 1.5 hour slots for presentation and discussion.

If accepted, your submission may be offered a slot for either a poster or a talk.

The language of the conference is English.

Abstract submissions

Please submit abstracts of up to 400 words (excluding references) via the EasyAbs link below (deadline: 30th April 2024). Submissions will be subjected to a double-blind peer-review process. Please make sure that submitted files (.doc, .pdf, .txt, or .odt) are fully anonymised.

Notification of acceptance will be sent out by 15th June 2024.

No more than one individual and one co-authored paper will be accepted per participant.
