Last autumn, Daisy Smith, Maddi Morcillo Berrueta and Lisa Gotthard — then postgraduate students at Edinburgh — produced a linguistic guide to the language of the 15th-century Scots poem ‘The Buke of the Howlat’ for the National Library of Scotland’s Wee Windaes (‘Little Windows’) website.
