After a long pandemic-induced hiatus, the AMC symposium is back for its third iteration on the topic of “Change in syntax and phonology: the same or different?”. The event is due to take place, as always, at the University of Edinburgh, this time on 5-7 December 2022.
We have a fantastic lineup of guest speakers (Ailís Cournane, William Croft, Ans van Kemenade, Marc van Oostendorp, Joseph Salmons, Meredith Tamminga and David Willis) that will help us tackle the symposium’s topic. We are also inviting abstracts (see the call for papers) that deal with any aspect of historical syntax or historical phonology, especially if they engage with the more general topic. Abstracts are due by 01 August.

The Symposium website can be found at: https://www.amc.lel.ed.ac.uk/amc-symposium/third-amc-symposium-2022/

Direct any enquiries can be made to: amc-sympo@mlist.is.ed.ac.uk
